My name is Lou and I am Lotus Yoga.

I teach Hatha yoga at all levels, from beginner to advanced. I am also qualified in chair yoga; children’s yoga and meditation.

My classes are inclusive, fun and informal.

Tonights class was amazing with some lovely new faces! It was great to have so many people join me for the practice.

Class Information

Classes take place at Sutton-on-Trent Sports Club and are suitable for all levels and abilities.
Classes incorporate asana (yoga poses) with pranayama (breathing techniques).

Chair yoga is gentle yoga poses adapted to be either seated or using the chair for support. Everyone is welcome!

Class times:

  • Wednesday 6pm -7pm
  • Friday 9.15am-10.15am
  • Chair yoga Friday 10.30-11.15am

Private 1:1 sessions are also available on request. Private sessions will tailor yoga to your specific needs, can allow better progression or focus on specific goals.

About Me

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. From my very first lesson I realised that yoga was what I had been looking for. I’ve never really been a gym person or a keep-fit fanatic but yoga allowed me to switch off; to tune out the noisy world, and to just be; at least for a little while.

I completely my 200 hours training with Active Balance Yoga Teacher Training, and have since gained qualifications in chair yoga, children’s yoga and meditation.

For me yoga is more about how we feel on the inside than the way we look on the outside. It is the personal journey to contentment, to feel happy within our own body and to find that elusive inner peace.

It is my hope and intention that my teaching will help and guide others towards finding their own little bit of inner peace.
